Opinions and reflections of Project 1 (Sketches).
This project helped me to visualize objects, situations and places and draw them out. I personally believe that it is required in the field of architecture. In addition with this, i learned a lot of new sketching skills with the help of the lecturers. Furthermore, i also learned how to sketch to a certain theme given. Also, by doing this project i have also discovered some of my weaknesses. One of the things that i can improve on is perspective drawings. All in all, i believe that this project was very useful to me to improve myself in the field of architecture.

Our second project was to choose an appropriate object of our own and draw technical drawings of the object. The technical drawings include, floor plan, 3 sections, 2 elevation, top view, 2 side view, etc.

Opinions and Reflections of Project 2 (Technical Drawings)
The way i see it, this was one of the most important projects assigned for us. The reason is because, these skills that we learned from this project, will surely come in handy in the future. Basically, we learned how to read basic architectural drawings and also learned how to draw architectural or technical drawings. Furthermore, we were assigned to pick an object and measure it too. Therefore, i also learned how to measure the objects and draw it according to a scale. At first, when this project was assigned to us, i thought it would be easy to measure and draw it but it was only after doing the project that i found out the difficulty in it. So, i believe that this is something very useful and something that i should keep in mind.
Project 3 Site Analysis .
For our 3rd project, we were divided into groups and were asked to choose a site within our university. After choosing a site, we were then asked to do a site analysis of the site. Since this was a group work, different parts of the site analysis were handed to different students by our group. Therefore, i was responsible for our site location details. So, i had to draw the site location of different views, and take measurements of the site.

Opinions and reflections about Project 3 (Site Analysis).
This was also a very important assignment that we had to complete and i learned a lot of new things by doing this assignment. To start with, i got the experience of actually measuring a site. Therefore, i came across the difficulties you can face when measuring a site. In addition with this I learned how to draw the site location from different angles/views which was an interesting task. Also, it is important to highlight that i improved my presentation skills, as we had to produce a report based on our site analysis and present it to our lecturers. Overall, i think this was a very important project as it made me learn the basic steps of architecture.
Final Project (Art Installation) .
Our final project was divided into two parts. The first part was individual whereas the second part was a group work. As for the individual part, each one of us were assigned to design our own art installation in an A2 paper with a model of proper scale. We were supposed to design our installation by using recyclable materials and it was supposed to represent a theme. As for the second part, our lecturers chose the best artworks out of all our works, and we had to form into groups and build the chosen artwork.

About my art installation .
I used recycling of newspaper as a theme and decided to make my art installation by using rolled up newspapers. These rolled up newspapers were batched up one onto another as shown on the pictures above.

Process of making the model.
For our final art installation, we formed into groups, and my group was assigned to do the art installation by Dipti, which was one of the chosen art installations. Her theme for the art installation was ' Still Standing Strong' which represents women's rights. Therefore, her model was also planned to be built as a women structure by using different recyclable materials.
Opinions and reflections about final project .
The way i see it, the final project was the project which really introduced us to the life of an architect as we had to make an art installation for an art festival. I believe that all of us should thank our lecturers and the organizer for giving us the opportunity to present our work in such an event. From this project, i learned the importance of time management and how important it is to divide up our work within the group members. Also i found out that a lot of trials are needed for the completion of an art installation. Therefore, it is important to always start up our work as early as possible. As for the weaknesses, I believe that i should always plan well before i start to build a model so that it doesnt have to changed later on.
Reflective Entry of the Subject including weaknesses and strength .
From the subjects i studied this semester, i personally believe that Design Visualization was the most important subject in the field or architecture. Mostly because we learned a lot new things related to architecture such as, building up of models, technical drawings and sketching after visualizing scenes. As stated above, these projects also made me realize some of the weaknesses i have like time management and planning the models/artworks before making it. Moreover, in order with this, i believe that i have improved my presentation skills. So all in all, i believe that this subject was very useful for me with interesting very interesting projects.
