Presentation slides and report
As our first project, we were asked to make groups and were asked to imagine that we are running a business. After that we were told to apply the business concepts that we learned and present our business to the class. We were also told to make a report of our business as well. So my group members divided the work and my part was to come up with the management strategies of our business. Final Project (Charity Drive) .
As our last project for this module, we formed groups and we were supposed to come up with a small business to donate the income to some social community. We had this project for a week and we managed to produce 2000RM from this charity drive which was donated to WWF. Me and my group members sold phone covers, lava toy's and some accessories. We also placed a donation box right infront of our stall for donation. In addition with this we went class by class asking students and lecturers for donations as well. Here is the final marketing report, with some pictures.

Favorite topic of the subject.
The favorite topic of this subject for me would be ' Starting a small business' . Mainly because this topic gave me information about why people start a business and how can someone start a business which i believe is very important in our daily life since all of us are going to get involved in some business in the future. Apart from this, this topic also provided me with some of the features that an individual must have to become an owner of a business. Also, another important reason is because this topic gave me some new information about the different forms of ownership businesses have and the effect it has on the business.
Least favorite topic of the subject.
I think ' Business ethics and responsibility would be my least favorite topic because although this topic provides us with information about whats morally and legally right or wrong, many of the businesses does not really apply whats morally right. The fact is, all of the businesses wants profit, so from my experience there are only few businesses doing what is morally right. So considering some of the things learned under this topic i do not think that many businesses apply the right concepts as given in the notes. (Specially about doing things which are morally right). So this factor is the main reason why this topic was my least favorite out of the all.
The most applicable topic
In my opinion the most applicable topic would be the topic about managing employees. Mainly because this topic teaches us how to manage someone that is working for us. And i believe at some point, all of us have to take some leadership and there will be situations where there are people working for us. Therefore, i believe the concepts learned in this topic about managing the employees, can be applied in real life situations where you have to take up the leadership and manage those around you.
Reflective Entry.
I learned a lot of new things by studying this subject. To start with, i learned about the different types of businesses that exist and the factors that affects the business. example, what kind of an effect does technology have on business. I also learned some tips on how to start a small business and the things to keep in mind when running a small business like how important the location of the business is. In addition with this, i learned about the main goals and objectives of a business and how to achieve those goals and objective by doing whats morally and legally right. Furthermore i learned that human resource management, marketing, production and finance should all be related to run a good busines. For example if there is no marketing of the product obviously there would be no finance. So therefore, it all should be related and work together. In addition with this, by doing the charity drive i believe that i have practically learned how to make good business decisions and taking up some leadership and learned how these factors effect the business results. So considering all this, i believe i have got a very good introduction about what business really is.
